ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am a digital illustrator, comic artist, and aspiring character designer that tells visual stories through emotion and character to capture a feeling of nostalgia and childlike innocence. I've been inspired by the 2D animated works from Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and various anime as well as countless illustrated children’s books, comics, and graphic novels that I consumed throughout his youth. Originally wanting to be a film journalist, I learned what makes an interesting story and characters. But over the past several years I decided to go back to his childhood passion of drawing and incorporate his knowledge of creating stories and characters to become an illustrator. During my time in college, I was able to explore and learn multiple different art mediums and drastically improve my artistic techniques and found the confidence other artists have to keep themselves going.

As someone who’s very in touch with their childhood, I embrace nostalgic, playful, and whimsical approaches in my art style to capture a feeling of childlike innocence, memories that I look back on that make me content. I tend to create art that appeals to the general audience, much of my artwork captures amalgamations of nostalgic memories, I hope my work encourages viewers to let loose of their inner youth, regard childhood memories, and reflect on what made them who they are today.
